EAMON CARR was born in Kells, County Meath and began publishing his poems in the late 1960s. Later, with Peter Fallon, he formed poetry-performance group Tara Telephone and co-edited the literary collections Capella and The Book of Invasions as well as early Gallery Books imprints, before concentrating his energies as writer, conceptualist and drummer for Horslips, the band he co-founded and remains a member of. A journalist and occasional broadcaster, he is a former recipient of the Sarah Purser Scholarship and Prize in the History of European Painting from Trinity College, Dublin. His first book, The Origami Crow, Journey into Japan World Cup Summer 2002 (Seven Towers) was published in 2008.
ORAN RYAN is a writer living in Ireland. He has written novels: The Death of Finn (Seven Towers, 2006) Ten Short Novels by Arthur Kruger (Seven Towers 2007), and One Inch Punch (Seven Towers, 2012). He has written plays: Don Quixote has Been Promoted(2009, Ranelagh Arts Festival) for the Stage and radio: Preliminary Design For a Universe Circling Spacecraft(KRPN, San Francisco, California 2010) He has written and published short stories, poetry and literary critical articles, particularly on William Burroughs, Marcel Proust, Virginia Woolf, David Foster Wallace as well as editing and contributing to a recent critical volume on Doris Lessing called Fragmented Societies: Feminism, Love and Identity in the Novels of Doris Lessing.He lectures on James Joyce, particularly Finnegans Wake. His latest work Life During Wartime is due for publication soon.
THE MYSTERIOUS MR VALENTINE are a contemporary jazz duo consisting of guitarist Rory Keane and vocalist Birgit Burhenne, playing a mix of old classic jazz standards and contemporary songs.
